We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our US Market Compliance team. This role will primarily support two critical business areas: US Sampling and US Federal and State Transparency Reporting. In addition to compliance, the candidate will also provide support for US Field Sales Operations and their various application needs. The ideal candidate will possess a solid development background, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with various IT teams and vendors.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using technologies such as PL/SQL, PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Informatica.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, sales operations, and IT departments, to understand application requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive SDLC documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with external vendors and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
- Provide ongoing support for existing applications, troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement enhancements as necessary.
- Assist IT team and compliance partners with required operational tasks to ensure we comply with all US government regulations and corporate policies
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer, preferably in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare or in a compliance space
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong Oracle/Redshift SQL skills
- Extensive programming experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Power Bi, and Microsoft Power Automate
- Ability to recognize process improvement/optimization opportunities (and share them with team)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors
- Experience creating SDLC documentation (Design, Testing, Deployment Plans, etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to debug code and troubleshoot data issues
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS Services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS Oracle)
- Experience with Informatica
- Pharmaceutical Industry and/or compliance experience
- Experience with project management/backlog tracking tools such as JIRA
