Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QC Microbiology Analyst to join our Quality Control department in Dundalk, Ireland. In this role, you will contribute to various microbiology projects, including microbial method validation, environmental monitoring, and cleaning and process validations. You will be responsible for maintaining our laboratory in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), analytical method protocols, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

• Complete training in microbial and environmental monitoring. Perform techniques such as sterility testing and microbial identification.
• Author and review SOPs, methods, protocols, reports, and other technical documents.
• Participate in method transfer, qualification, validation, and verification activities.
• Schedule tasks to meet release requirements and targets.
• Troubleshoot and investigate issues related to microbial testing.
• Adhere to safety and cGMP guidelines in the laboratory.
• Document lab work and results promptly and accurately.
• Ensure proper training completion and documentation for team members.
• Maintain the laboratory in an audit-ready state at all times.
• Keep the laboratory clean, safe, and organized according to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Relevant industry experience, specifically in microbiology testing and environmental monitoring.
• Knowledge of cGMP compliance and regulatory standards related to vaccine development.
• Experience authoring technical documents, including protocols and reports.
• Familiarity with testing techniques such as sterility testing and environmental monitoring.
• Experience in investigations, deviations and change controls.
• Experience with biosafety containment levels CL-2 is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and mentorship skills; able to guide and support fellow analysts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, results-driven, and solution-focused.
