Job Description

As Health Economist, you will be a central part of one of Denmark's strongest health economics teams in an international and well-established company that aims to be the fastest-growing pharmaceutical company in Denmark.

Through your health analyses and your work with registry studies and various economic analyses, you will set the agenda for communicating the value of the company's pharmaceuticals to medical and non-medical decision-makers as well as other relevant health-economic stakeholders in Denmark.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Stay up to date with the health-economic environment both within our company and externally, and continuously develop the health-economics area in our company
  • Consolidate our company in Denmark as a Center of Excellence for RWE
  • Coordinate and conduct health-economic analyses and registry studies
  • Build economic models for reimbursement applications as well as other submissions to the Danish Medicines Council, the Danish Medicines Agency and the Danish Health Authority
  • Build and implement cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models
  • Be an expert in health-economic methodology and modelling
  • Create a qualified basis for decisions and value stories
  • Work cross-organizationally internally
  • Maintain customer contact, notably with clinical stakeholders, trendsetters and key opinion leaders in relevant therapy areas

You will involve both external and internal resources to ensure progress in projects and will therefore be responsible for disseminating the scientific results of analyses to medical and health-economic decision-makers in regional and national institutions.

Internally, your relationships will be local, regional and global, and an exciting element of your work will be to either lead national and international strategic projects or to participate in similar projects led by others.

PROFILE:

The tasks require strong health-economic and analytical skills, as well as personal drive and impact. You have the courage to express your opinions and the right societal values. With a winning nature and good collaboration skills, you can inspire, motivate and challenge your surroundings both externally and internally. You are able to create momentum and deliver significant results through your visions and ideas.

You have completed a relevant higher education at Master's level – for example in Political Science, Economics, Public Health or similar. If you are a recent graduate, it is important that you demonstrated a very high professional level during your studies; a few years' experience as a Health Economist or similar in the public sector is preferred.

Naturally, you have a solid understanding of and interest in health economics, as well as a pronounced analytical and methodical approach to your work, and you are familiar with terms such as ICER, MARKOV and QALY.

You are able to think and act strategically and have the desire and talent to communicate health economics — also to those who do not have it as their primary focus.

Language: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Danish.

ENVIRONMENT:

An exciting and challenging position and a varied everyday life at our company's new office by the water in the heart of Copenhagen, where only your skill set limits the content of your work and your achieved results.

Our company is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Denmark and the company with the most diverse reimbursement applications and HTAs, which is why the External affairs team is probably one of the strongest health-economic environment you will find outside universities and consultancies.

If the right candidate has the courage to face challenges in a large international organization, our company will be the right place. Three of our External Affairs colleagues in recent years have worked in senior positions in New York, Switzerland and Singapore.

Your working week will be versatile and outgoing, and you will be part of a team of skilled and committed colleagues, giving you ample opportunity to be challenged and developed both professionally and personally. Your salary package will be attractive and include a bonus scheme and employer-paid pension.
