We are seeking a Medical Advisor to lead Medical Affairs strategy and execution for vaccines in Lithuania. You will shape country medical plans, drive scientific exchange, and represent our science externally—spending your time engaging with clinicians, scientific leaders, and health institutions across Lithuania. This role sits at the intersection of science, patient outcomes, and access, partnering closely with regional teams and local stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic and Tactical Leadership:
- Consolidate actionable medical insights from Lithuania’s healthcare landscape (e.g., infectious disease trends, immunization priorities, guideline updates) to inform company strategies.
- Translate global medical goals into locally relevant tactics that elevate scientific exchange, improve patient outcomes, and enhance vaccine access within Lithuania.
- Execute and rapidly adapt medical plans to Lithuanian market realities, including public health priorities and payer needs.
- Follow up on Investigator‑Initiated Study proposals aligned with our ISS priorities and Lithuanian research interests.
- Collaborate with Global Clinical Trial Operations and local institutions to identify potential investigators and suitable Lithuanian research centers.
- Facilitate data generation activities across phases I–IV, including identifying sites, investigators, innovative methodologies, and real‑world evidence opportunities relevant to Lithuania.
- Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific information consistent with company standards and Lithuanian/EU regulations.
Medical and Scientific Leadership:
- Bring the Lithuanian scientific and healthcare perspective to Regional Medical Affairs, highlighting local clinical practice patterns and immunization policies.
- Communicate scientific and business needs effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders, including clinicians, scientific societies, universities, and public health bodies.
- Build trust through peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange, collaborative research, and educational partnerships with Lithuanian medical societies and health organizations.
- Deliver therapeutic and functional training to cross‑functional teams in Lithuania.
- Develop and execute country medical education programs and symposia; organize advisory boards and expert input forums with Lithuanian KOLs.
- Participate in professional organizations and contribute to academic/regulatory working teams relevant to vaccines and public health in Lithuania.
Regulatory and Market Access Support:
- Collaborate and lead resolution of regulatory, PR, compliance, and other asset issues in alignment with Lithuanian and EU frameworks.
- Support safety/quality issue resolution, including contributions to regulatory responses, risk management planning, and implementation.
- Provide access support as needed (e.g., HTA input for the Health Technology Assessment system, pre‑license patient access, reimbursement dossier contributions) in alignment with Lithuanian processes and stakeholders.
Inclusive Mindset:
- Champion belonging, inclusion, equity, and empowerment in Lithuania’s diverse workforce.
- Lead by example to create, develop, and retain an inclusive team culture.
What You’ll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD.
- 2–3+ years of hands-on clinical or research experience in a relevant therapeutic area; vaccines/infectious diseases exposure is a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with clear, confident communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
- Full professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English (spoken and written).
- Solid understanding of Lithuania’s pharmaceutical guidelines, regulatory and reimbursement pathways, and EU/ICH-GCP clinical research standards.
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to link choices to broader corporate objectives.
- Proven track record building relationships with scientific leaders and key Lithuanian stakeholders (public health institutions, government bodies, professional societies).
- Comfortable presenting and influencing at country management level.
- Effective collaborator in a matrixed organization, working seamlessly across functions.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in vaccines or infectious diseases within Lithuania’s healthcare system.
- Prior involvement in HTA/reimbursement submissions with Lithuanian authorities.
