Role Overview

As part of our Cross Technology Modernization team, the Integration Solutions Engineer is a senior technical role that needs to contribute in the implementation and supports the robust integration and analytics solutions. This role requires strong expertise in the Integration technologies, Mulesoft and Java with an emphasis on handson development while contributing to technical design decisions. This handson role blends in implementing solution architecture, middleware development and stakeholder-facing communication.

The successful candidate is an expert in integration patterns and platforms (MuleSoft preferred), has strong Java development experience and can operate effectively as a delivery team partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. Role is to work closely with the Delivery/Technical leads, Data Engineering & Architecture, Product, Platform teams and business or functional stakeholders to deliver the scalable, secure integrations.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player, adaptable and a quick learner, an effective communicator, relied upon to contribute in the complex implementation challenges and assists with the enterprise wide initiatives

What should you have

  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and ability to take architectural decision(ESB, API‑led connectivity, pub/sub, streaming, ETL/ELT).
  • Understanding of cyber and network security in cloud (AWS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to explain tradeoffs and drive consensus.
  • Strong experience (8+ years) in integration development with exposure to solution design.
  • Java development background (Java 8+) with experience building custom modules/components for middleware platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform with designing APIs, building flows, creating connectors, RAML/OpenAPI, data transformations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Mulesoft Cloudhub) and deploying integrations in cloud/native environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions/GitLab), automated testing and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with observability tools (ELK, Argus, Splunk) for integration monitoring.
  • Flexible working availability to cover overlap windows (pre‑noon US Eastern and post‑noon CET) for meetings and collaboration.
  • Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to AI/ML or intelligent automation in integration use cases.
  • Experience with data modeling, data governance and integration testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of Health sciences domain and orchestration (Kubernetes).

What will you do:

  • Design, Development & Implementation
    • Collaborate with Functional or Delivery Leads, Architecture, Platform & Data engineering teams to contribute to solution design and integration architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, best practices. Security policies and modernization goals.
    • Drive solutioning for integration initiatives across applications, services and data platforms.
    • Translate high-level architecture into detailed technical designs and implementable solutions within enterprise modernization initiatives
    • Produce design artifacts: integration diagrams, sequence flows, component designs and Technical requirements (performance, security, scalability etc).
    • Act as a hands‑on technical lead, actively developing integrations using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform), implementing APIs, connectors, transformations and orchestration flows, Java based frameworks as needed.
    • Build CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments and collaborate with platform support teams to automate deployment, testing and releases.
    • Play a key role in integration and analytics modernization programs, including migration from legacy platforms to modern integration/iPaaS solutions.
    • Deliver high‑quality, well‑tested components and support troubleshooting/incident resolution.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integrations issues, performing root cause analysis and performance optimization
    • Design data mapping and transformation solutions between heterogeneous systems.
    • Work with data teams to ensure data quality, schema evolution handling, and performant data movement. Implement batch and streaming integration patterns where applicable.
    • Explore and support adoption of AI-driven capabilities within integration and analytics solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
    • Engage with Platform, Data Engineering & Architecture, Business analysts and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, present designs and agree on tradeoffs.
    • Provide regular progress updates to LT, raise risks/impediments early and coordinate dependency resolution.
