The position
As our Salesforce Developer, you will play a vital role in delivering projects that improve and enhance the way our teams use Salesforce. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your technical skill set to implement programmatic solutions for our new Salesforce.com (Sales & Service) Cloud-based projects, with a particular focus on Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations.
Who are you?
You are a Salesforce developer who has worked on Sales and Service Cloud projects. You have experience delivering programmatic solutions across user interfaces, background automation, and integrations.
You possess holistic experience across the platform and are willing to use no-code solutions where they are more suitable. You enjoy collaborating with the wider Salesforce team and working on cross-functional projects together.
You are experienced with agile and Scrum methodologies and using deployment tools to support the release management process across multiple sandboxes. In addition, you can support and advise the rest of the team on this.
What will you do?
Your primary activities include (but are not limited to):
- Declarative and non-declarative development: synchronous and asynchronous Apex and flows.
- Custom user interface development, including Visualforce pages and Lightning Web Components/Aura.
- Integrations: Using Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems utilized by the organization.
- Best practices: Adhering to Salesf<orce best practices, maintaining code documentation, and writing and maintaining test scripts and classes for all custom development.
- Integrating and maintaining business applications with Salesforce.
- Collaborating with IT and developers of other systems to integrate across the business.
- Supporting the Salesforce administrators and the team.
- Working closely with business, gathering requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
- At least 3 years of Salesforce development experience.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in developing Apex classes, triggers, and tests.
- Understanding of relational database concepts.
- Proficiency in developing Lightning Web Components.
- Experience and understanding of Salesforce SOAP and REST APIs.
- General experience and understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A proactive attitude towards Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code in line with best practices.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud products, as well as an understanding of standard Salesforce implementation processes, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other Salesforce team members.
- Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I, and Salesforce Platform Developer II.
- Proficient in Salesforce development lifecycle and environment strategy.
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications.
- Experience working with large datasets and bulkification.
- Ability to gather requirements and present and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
- Ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Desireable Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
- Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Certified Salesforce Administrator and JavaScript Developer I.
- Experience with CPQ.
- Experience with Agentforce.
- A Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, a professional qualification, or relevant experience.
- Competency in other programming languages and development tools (e.g., XML, Flex, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services).
- Demonstrates continued personal and professional development.
