Job Description

As a Scientist in Analytical Enabling Capabilities-Data Rich Measurements, you will work with a highly collaborative team to advance the development pipeline. You will be primarily responsible for developing analytical methods for small molecules, peptides, protein-based therapeutics, and emerging modalities in our portfolio. You will work side by side with process chemists to deploy innovative technologies and analytical workflows for high-throughput analysis and characterization across fast-paced laboratory settings (Protein Engineering, Biocatalysis). As a member of our team, you will be joining a diverse group of scientific problem solvers, who are dedicated to creating the life-changing products of tomorrow.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • MS in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline and 1-2 years of relevant experience or BS in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills applied to scientific research

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • RPLC of small molecule pharmaceuticals, peptides, proteins

  • MS analysis including and hyphenation with LC

  • Knowledge of high-throughput analysis and screening techniques

  • Hands on experience and knowledge on troubleshooting instrumentation

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of chromatographic and mass spectrometry

  • Strong analytical chemistry skillsets and method development

  • Multi-mode separation techniques including reversed phase, ion exchange, size exclusion chromatography, etc.

  • Background on characterization techniques, especially LC-MS

  • Experience on optimization, and deployment of analytical assays

  • Will to learn new technologies and automation

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$85,600.00 - $134,800.00
