Job Description
Overview: The FP&A manager will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making within our Human Health portfolios in the company. This position involves robust business partnering, meticulous reporting for a dynamic organization, and effective planning processes to enhance the overall financial performance of the organization.
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Business Partnering
- Serve as a strategic business partner to commercial units, providing insights and analyses that support informed decision-making across all levels of the organization.
- Evaluate the financial performance of the market to optimize resource allocation, identify trade-offs, and uncover opportunities that drive appropriate investments for maximum returns.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to support and drive innovative initiatives that align with business objectives.
Reporting & Planning Processes
- Actively participate in financial planning and forecasting activities, delivering timely and actionable analyses to commercial leads.
- Contribute to the development of market forecast and budget presentation materials, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance regularly, including variance analyses between actuals and budget/forecast.
- Work collaboratively with the Business Support Center and regional finance teams to align local market objectives with overall financial goals.
- Provide high-quality business analyses and address ad-hoc queries as they arise.
Other Responsibilities
- Support ad-hoc FP&A projects and requests from international and regional teams as needed.
- Drive initiatives aimed at simplifying and standardizing the financial planning process.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, while upholding our mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated financial analysis capabilities, combined with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to provide cross-functional support and effective communication in an agile environment.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and general PC literacy; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Solid technical understanding of financial planning, management reporting systems, and accounting principles.
- Highly engaged, collaborative team player with a commitment to achieving shared goals.
- Business-level proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
