We are excited to invite an action-oriented Manufacturing Science & Technology Director to join our team of motivated and high-performing colleagues, and help shape our new biotech operations at a pivotal moment in developing our innovative facility.
Key Responsibilities
As the Manufacturing Science & Technology Director, you will:
- Head the site organization, overseeing Process Engineering, Validation, Process Sciences, Analytical Sciences, and New Product Introduction.
- Direct technology transfer, manage development and process performance qualification batches, and ensure effective change control and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure seamless execution of new product introductions.
- Support the design and execution of capital projects.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks promptly, collaborating with on-site and above-site stakeholders.
- Manage the technical lifecycle of inline products at the site.
- Oversee the deployment of digital tools in our state-of-the-art facility.
- Contribute to the Site Leadership Team to align with organizational priorities.
- Represent the site on global technical teams and manage financial forecasts to meet departmental targets.
- Hire, develop, and inspire a diverse team to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Continuous Professional Development is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Proven experience in designing and operating a start-up biologics manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of large molecule release, stability, and characterization analytical methods.
- Experience in developing and implementing validation strategies.
- Familiarity with technology transfer, regulatory filings, and health authority interactions.
- A background in pharmaceutical operations, particularly in biologics or vaccines.
