Job Description
The Health Literacy Associate Specialist role in the Medical Writing & Disclosure (MW&D) department will be primarily responsible for providing support of project management activities within the Health Literacy team. This will include the management and delivery of Plain Language Summaries (PLS) of clinical studies per company processes and standards to ensure compliance with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and health literacy principles. This role will extend into additional support for Informed Consent team.
The responsibilities of the Health Literacy Associate Specialist are:
Attending and assisting with Health literacy-related meetings.
Tracking multiple PLS submission types and ad hoc projects.
Liaising with appropriate stakeholders for status of ongoing health literacy initiatives and projects across the Disclosure and Health Literacy teams.
Escalating to management any problems or unresolved issues that could affect the timely completion of the work or the work quality.
Managing operations metrics on a monthly/yearly basis.
Assisting in the review and delivery of PLS to ensure they align with regulations and company processes.
Developing expertise in the regulations associated with clinical trial PLS and adapting to the changing regulatory environment as needed
Assist in maintaining inspection readiness for Informed Consent.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a Life Sciences related discipline or project management
Required Experience and Skills
Experience in Microsoft applications such as Excel, WORD, and SharePoint. Effective Project Management and organizational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects under tight timelines
Preferred Experience and Skills
Demonstrated team skills, professional values, and personal skills necessary for effective teamwork; able to work in cross-functional environment; able to pivot quickly due to changes in priorities and assignments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written) in order to interact clearly, effectively, and tactfully with stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, analytical/logical thinking skills; able to critically evaluate data
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Understanding of health literacy and numeracy principles and sensitivity to the needs of audiences across cultures and communities

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$70,500.00 - $110,900.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
