The Regional Technical Manager Livestock will be responsible for the development and execution of Livestock Business Unit Technical Customer Value support within the Central Eastern Europe Organization as well as leading the interaction with external institutional entities, like University and/or research centers, and external scientific stakeholders, like scientific KOLs or associations.
Support and works in close collaboration with CEE marketing, sales and regulatory affairs. Provide scientific support and interacts with internal and external customers in order to achieve the commercial targets for the organization on a regional level. The role will lead the Technical Regional team of the LBU.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Ensure Excellence Technical support and lead the development of the CEE technical customer value service portfolio by building and developing a new technical organization
- Execute upon current and future market trends and technologies.
- Active interaction with the Global and EURAM technical directors to drive the successful introduction of new products and support the in-line ones.
- Strategic technical support capabilities are enhanced and optimized on an on-going basis.
- Responsibility for the ecosystem functioning properly within the Technical Centre of Excellence as well as towards the business and other stakeholders.
- Strategic planning including commercial impact of the technical value service portfolio
- PR & Communication at both external and internal arenas.
- Overall responsibility for the Technical budget and be expected to manage and prioritize commercial needs from a budget point of view based on business priorities.
- Leading by example and help ensure direction, alignment and commitment throughout the organization.
- Influencing, inspiring and build trust in your surroundings enabling a strong positive culture.
Cross-functional activities:
- Ensures adequate support to other functions to enable compliance in areas related to regulatory and review of promotional material, customer presentations.
- Gives strategic regulatory advice or feedback to maximize best positioning of products and company business.
- Takes part in BU products and launch teams to provide technical input and strategy advice is such is requested.
- Support such the decisions they provide the best return on their commercial implications
Skills Required:
- Education: Veterinary Medicine or similar life-sciences education.
- Work experience in ruminants industry
- Solid leadership and people management experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- A self-starter with the ability to develop close relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A forward-thinking, commercial and strategic mindset
- A strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- High level of presentation and scientific writing skills
- Ability to travel up to 60% in the Region (50%) and Europe (10%)
