Role Overview
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data/Adoption Engineer for code-driven data curation to join our dynamic data team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the adoption and implementation of dbt (data build tool) across our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering, data modeling, and analytics engineering principles, as well as a passion for improving data workflows and empowering data teams. You will collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to implement best practices, provide training, and support the development of robust data transformation workflows. Your expertise will help enhance our data analytics capabilities and ensure high-quality data delivery.
Key Responsibilities
dbt Cloud Implementation: Lead the implementation of dbt within the organization, including setup, configuration, and integration with existing data pipelines.
Training & Support: Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for data teams to promote best practices in using dbt for data transformation.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for dbt workflows, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts and engineers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using dbt.
Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce standards for data quality and testing within dbt models to ensure reliable and accurate data outputs.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of dbt models and workflows, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
Community Engagement: Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among data teams, encouraging the use of dbt and participation in the dbt community.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
2+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with dbt, including model development, testing, and deployment.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Databricks, Redshift).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
Understanding of data modeling concepts and ELT processes.

Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Previous experience in a training or mentorship role.
