As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) market, a strategic area of focus for the company. This position is characterised by a high degree of autonomy and leadership, requiring you to establish and nurture key partnerships with Centres of Excellence (CoE) and associated stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the adoption of a new innovative medication among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and ensuring optimal patient access.
What You Will Do
Strategic Partnership Development:
Forge and maintain strong relationships with CoE and associated stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of the product and the company’s commitment to PAH.
Promotional Activities:

Drive the promotion of the product within the target patient cohort through:
One-on-one customer engagements, lunch meetings, and medical education in-services.
Attendance and representation at key conferences, including PHSANZ.
Clinical Support:

Assist HCPs in prescribing by:
Mapping in-clinic and referral pathways to CoE accounts, identifying key clinicians and T2 accounts.
Providing the resources required to support optimal patient care.
Building and maintaining a comprehensive Veeva database to support the PBS launch.
Program Facilitation:

Support clinicians in utilising the product’s Private Access Program by:
Facilitating and attending state-based launch events to ensure effective program implementation.
Responding promptly to question or concerns regarding the program.
Feedback and Strategy Evolution:
Provide actionable insights and feedback to the marketing team to inform and evolve strategic initiatives.
Target Customers

Centres of Excellence (CoE):
Engage with 12 CoE hospitals and approximately 100 customers, focusing on >75% located on the Eastern Seaboard.
Develop anunderstanding of target markets in lesser-known states, such as South Australia (SA) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

Healthcare Professionals:
Build relationships with PAH specialists, prescribers, and clinic nurses within CoE.
Leadership and Autonomy
This role requires a self-motivated individual who can operate independently while demonstrating leadership qualities. You will be expected to:
Take initiative in developing and executing strategic target account plans.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and medical teams to ensure alignment and success in the product launch
Exhibit strong communcaition skills and the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments.
What You Must have
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in specialty care or specialized/technical sales; experience in PAH is desirable but not mandatory.
Demonstrated maturity and capability to address complex questions related to pricing and access.
Education: Science-based tertiary education.
Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the PAH landscape.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering results.
