Join our company as an Integrated Livestock Technical Manager (Pigs/Swine) and be at the forefront of veterinary expertise, sales support, and product development. This role offers a unique blend of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, providing you with the opportunity to travel and collaborate with industry professionals across Ireland and beyond.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist veterinary expertise for our company Animal Health Ireland Pig portfolio, with additional support for Poultry and Aqua products.

  • Contribute to sales support, product development, marketing, pharmacovigilance, and technical responsibilities.

  • Support customers including wholesalers, vet practitioners, and livestock producers, and answer queries regarding products and animal health/welfare.

  • Log all activity on CRM and investigate pharmacovigilance issues, including on-farm visits and diagnostics.

  • Liaise with customers, authorities, and regulatory affairs regarding import licenses and new product launches.

  • Support account managers by dual calling on vets and producers, carrying out vaccination training, and delivering presentations.

  • Develop and implement Porcilis Farm Care training and diagnostic support.

  • Provide technical expertise to the Marketing Manager, develop marketing materials, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Who You Are

You are ready if you have:

  • Veterinary degree recognized in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, with membership of the Irish Veterinary Council / RCVS.

  • Excellent client-facing skills, both verbally and in writing, with sound time management and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to prioritize, handle confidential issues, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy.

  • Attention to detail, persuasive skills, and the ability to influence others successfully.

  • Effective communication at various levels within and outside the company, with the ability to identify and exploit new business opportunities.

  • Energetic, resourceful team player.

  • High standard of presentation of information in both oral and written form at various levels.

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • A veterinary or other relevant post-graduation study such as a certificate or diploma.

  • At least two years’ experience within the pig industry.
