Role:
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the field of animal health biologics? Our company is looking for a Senior Specialist to drive the growth of our outsourcing activities and enhance our internal direct material procurement for biologics. In this pivotal role, you will focus on sourcing, innovations, negotiation, implementation of contracts, and supplier management to support for Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) as well as biologic direct material suppliers supplying our internal manufacturing sites.

Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality biologics that improve animal health and well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy & Implementation: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies and cost reduction initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead global project teams and serve as the key account manager for strategic external manufacturers, ensuring optimal performance and relationship management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Contract Management: Cultivate a deep understanding of stakeholder needs, implement robust contracting and negotiation strategies, and provide expert guidance in risk mitigation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and promote opportunities for improvement in collaboration with suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
On-Site Collaboration: This position requires at least two days a week on-site in Salamanca, with flexibility for remote work.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proactive & Adaptive: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Industry Experience: Experience in biotechnology operations or managing outsourcing projects. Strong focus on value creation, proactive risk mitigation, supplier relationship management and cost optimization Experienced in the operations and governance of sourcing projects.

Understanding of global supply chain principles in a global environment.
Project Management & Communication: Ability to manage multiple complex projects, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication in English.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems (experience with Ariba is a plus); quick to learn new software systems.
Educational Background & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent expertise in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or related fields, with 5 years of relevant work experience.
Proficient English and Spanish speaking and writing skills.
