Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to head our Inside Sales and Lead Management Team within the livestock biopharmaceutical and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical and livestock monitoring commercial landscape. Must have the ability to drive a high-performing team and this role is critical in optimizing our lead management processes and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing inside sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and morale.
Coaching and Support: Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members, helping them develop their sales skills and achieve individual and team goals.
Sales Strategy and Execution
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive inside sales strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and targets within the biopharmaceutical and technology sectors.
Lead Management Optimization: Oversee the lead management process, ensuring effective qualification, nurturing, and conversion of leads into customers.
Contract quoting: Manage the contract quoting process for prioritized leads.
Sales Forecasting: Analyze market trends and sales data to forecast sales performance and inform strategic decision-making.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives and customer needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners, to drive sales initiatives and gather market insights.
Reporting and Analysis
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the inside sales team, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze sales processes and outcomes to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in sales management or leadership roles, with a focus on inside sales in the biopharmaceutical or technology sectors.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse, decentralized team.
Business & Financial Acumen: Experience in Animal Health industry strongly preferred. Ability to understand and leverage financial data to further business objectives.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and achieve business objectives.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is
$139,600.00 - $219,700.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
