Job Description

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Lead Maintenance Technician at Dunboyne Biologics, at our new state of the art facility.

This position will support the manufacturing self-directed shift team to deliver batch operations successfully, identify and resolve issues to allow the site to deliver for our patients in a culture that supports Quality, EHS, Learning and Continuous improvement.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation for the following:

  • Support compliant manufacturing operations by executing the sites maintenance system through maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting manufacturing & engineering teams.
  • Perform and carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including but not limited to preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, predictive data collection in a GxP environment using site CMMS.
  • Coordination of work within Engineering teams and beyond, while delivering continuous improvements.
  • Anticipates and solves complex problems within the Engineering Team and for the end customer.
  • Ability to work in high pressure scenarios and proactively communicate with relevant stakeholders during shift.
  • The desire to continuously learn, improve and develop engineering and related processes. Ability to create Clear Problem Statements and identification of next steps to resolve equipment, Safety and Quality challenges.
  • Support site investigations and actions, identifying root cause and measures to prevent recurrence.
  • The candidate will proactively seek out improvement opportunities and eliminate reliability gaps by driving the standard within the Team. (Task Lists, PM, Spares, and People development).
  • The candidate will work closely with the Planning and Scheduling Team to confirm work completion is right first time and resources are assigned accordingly.
  • Complete permit to work walkdowns and supervision for project and sustaining activities. Support site Emergency Response Team activities.
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge of process equipment maintenance.
  • Supporting the wider site as required to maintain batch delivery.

What skills you will need:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated evidence of continuous development skill based and academic.
  • Ability to deliver results to a high standard while adhering to timelines.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem solving with an ability to think logically and be proactive under pressure with a solution driven mindset.
  • 5 years + experience in biotechnology and/ or pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance, and reliability best practices.
  • Experience using and interacting with Process automation systems such as DeltaV and Pi.
  • Ability to work as part of a shift team and be self-motivated to deliver results.
  • Strong compliance mindset ensuring adherence to Procedures, Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost and People metrics.
  • Flexible and self-motivated with a passion for coaching others to get the best results.
