Job Responsibilities
Architect, Design and support Enterprise Storage & Cloud Infrastructure technologies
Assist with the build effort on new public / private / hybrid cloud compute and storage infrastructure from proof of concept through production launch and ongoing maintenance
Design, implement and maintain SAN and NAS storage appliances / solutions for use by cloud and other compute infrastructure
Independently identify, evaluate and provide engineering for technologies within the Storage services (Block, File, Object, Data Protection, etc.) both on-premises and in Cloud (AWS/Azure)
Lead projects and teams focused on engineering work. Plan work, deliver to timelines, and proactive manage independently
Collaborate with Security, IT Compliance, Engineering, Products, and QA department and continually drive KPI improvements in support of our Hybrid Cloud vision
Design a highly available architecture ensuring services can be consumed as self-service via API/portal by various Product / upstream Infrastructure teams
Responsible for delivering high availability via multi-zonal and multi-regional strategy for AWS cloud ensuring the Monitoring and Tools services are always available
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development and support of AWS Cloud infrastructure services that includes the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering and infrastructure operations
Proven experience with Microsoft server OS, Microsoft active directory, CentOS / RHEL and Ubuntu OS in enterprise-class / carrier-class computing environments
Drive process improvements through the use of automation
Act as a Storage subject matter expert and offer help and advice to colleagues from various other teams
Requirements
5-7 years relevant IT Technical Experience in Enterprise Storage, Cloud & DR related Infrastructure technologies:
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
Storage Array Network (SAN)
AWS Cloud (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS)
Enterprise Disaster Recovery solution (is a plus)
At least 3-4 years relevant IT System Administration experience in Cloud, Storage & Automation related infrastructure:
Experience with Enterprise Storage Architecture and Engineering (ex: 3Par, PowerMax, NetApp, Isilon, etc storage environment in on-prem stack)
Hands on experience on working and managing AWS Storage Services (FSx Family / EFS) and associated services (Coudwatch, lambda, CF, etc)
Experience/Familiarity with cloud computing services: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS)
Expertise on Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) automation technologies and tools including Ansible, Python and/or Terraform
Experience with designing and deploying AWS Services like Elastic Compute (EC2), Storages (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier and AWS Storage Gateway) and RDS
Experience with AWS Backups, snapshots and implementing Disaster Recovery Solutions both on-prem / Cloud
