DMO Intern at Carlow.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Intern to join our Digital Manufacturing Operations(DMO) team in Carlow. The intern will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining automation and computerised systems that support the manufacturing site in Carlow. This role offers hands-on experience with automation technologies and software development practices in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day to day operational support to the manufacturing site.
• Support the Administration of Automated systems in a GMP environment.
• Collaborate with the multiple stakeholders to enable business continuity
• Identify automation improvement opportunities.
• Use of Data tools for analysis of systems for improvement and system interrogation.
• Train and follow Standard Operating procedures
• Document automation processes and maintain technical documentation.
• Execute changes to systems following Standard operating procedures
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Preferred Education & Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Software Engineering
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Automation Engineering
  • Robotics
• Coursework or projects related to programming, scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript), control systems, or industrial automation is highly desirable
• Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
