We are looking for a motivated bachelor or master student in Engineering (e.g. Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial). We offer an internship opportunity within our Global Engineering Solutions department where you will develop the sound leadership, communication, and project management skills needed to be successful in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) is responsible for the design, construction, and delivery of advanced manufacturing facilities and laboratories worldwide. We provide premier engineering solutions in the pharmaceutical industry through technical innovation and project management to deliver important life-saving medicines and vaccines to patients. As part of our global GES team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career. Your assignment will be with the Irish Tech Center team consisting of process engineers and project design managers, who have extensive knowledge and experience in the engineering and design fields for process equipment and facilities for pharmaceutical production. The team works closely with other departments as an integrated project team within the company to achieve the stated goals.

Your internship assignment
As an intern, within GES Tech Center you will be responsible for supporting the process team, to deliver their scope within budget and time.

Your responsibilities

  • Apply your technical knowledge, data analysis and troubleshooting skills in the support of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities, in a team-based environment.

  • Develop your leadership skills in the areas of diverse team building, vendor management, and process equipment development/design.

  • Co-Chairing weekly meetings, cross-collaborate and seek alignment between stakeholders

  • Tracking and following up on action items, (re)prioritize tasks and plan strategically

  • Providing a fresh perspective to the department by sharing your opinion.


The described tasks form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper training and learning period, where you will be coached by assignment managers, mentors and a “buddy”. These tasks may be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.


Who are you?

  • A bachelor’s or master’s student in Engineering (e.g. Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial)

  • Ideal candidate will have outstanding academic records of achievement and demonstrated leadership capabilities, is analytical and inquisitive about the interrelationships of various components, perceptive and quick learners

  • Committed to making a difference in the pursuit of manufacturing high-quality market-leading pharmaceutical and vaccine products

  • Possesses superior communication and interpersonal skills, a team player with the ability to work independently

  • Candidate must possess motivation, , systems thinking and active listening

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Available for a period of <6 months> for <5> days per week
