The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ballydine. What You Will Do
As a Graduate Engineer, you will bring energy, creativity, and technical insight to:
• Provide strong technical leadership in support of API and oral solid dose (OSD) commercialization activities, including daily operational oversight, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex manufacturing challenges to ensure seamless product launch and sustained production performance.
• Operate within the site in Ballydine, the company’s premier global site for commercialization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), spray-dried intermediates (SDI), and oral solid dose (OSD) drug products, supporting the successful scale-up, validation, and launch of new therapies across diverse modalities.
• Lead initiatives focused on process and equipment optimisation to enhance product quality, increase yields, and improve throughput.
• Collaborate closely with the Process Development and Commercialisation teams to integrate new products into the Ballydine facility, whether through new process development or product transfer from other manufacturing sites.
• Partner with research teams on late-stage process development projects, helping to translate innovative science into scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using data analytics and digital tools to support operational excellence.
What Skills and Qualifications You Will Need
To thrive in this role, you will likely have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, analytical mindset.
- Experience or interest in digital technologies, data analytics, and their application in manufacturing environments.
- A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team.
