Role Overview

The Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure and Security Specialist play a vital global role, focusing on the design and implementation of Information Technology Infrastructure and Operational Technology systems supporting our manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams. This position will deliver technical guidance and secure designs that enhance the capabilities of our Manufacturing Division, ensuring that both new and existing systems are secure and capable of resilient operation.

What will you do in this role

  • Provide IT and OT expertise to the Manufacturing division with a focus on creating a secure manufacturing and laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and the IT Risk Management and Security department and advise on the identification and assessment of potential cyber risks to OT systems, and design and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
  • Review and approve shop and lab floor firewall rules while balancing useability and security.
  • Create, Review, and Approve Information Technology Infrastructure Designs for new Manufacturing Division projects.
  • Educate technical teams on OT complexities: The specialist should ensure that technical teams understand the differences between OT and traditional IT and are equipped to address the specific requirements and complexities of OT environments.
  • Prepare and deliver project briefings and communicate complex topics effectively.

What should you have

  • Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related study.
  • The position will collaborate with colleagues in the United States East Coast; Dublin, Ireland; Prague, CZ; and Singapore technology centers.
  • 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience in IT/OT cyber-security design and operations for critical infrastructure systems
  • Experience reviewing and approving firewall rules with understanding of the security risks associated with allowing data flows across secure network zones.
  • Experience in reviewing designs of real time shopfloor and lab systems to ensure data flows have the appropriate levels of security and resiliency
  • Experience designing or supporting IT and OT systems that support manufacturing and laboratory areas for at least two of the following: Firewalls, Windows Active Directory and Identity Management, Network Design and Observability, or Antivirus and Vulnerability Management.
  • Results-orientation with the proven ability and reputation for developing plans and implementing them successfully
  • The ability to travel will be required. Domestic and International.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Understanding of Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) systems that support Manufacturing & Supply Chains, including manufacturing execution systems (MES), quality & labs systems, resource planning systems, and process control system technologies, cold chain and other supply chain systems.
  • Intermediate level understanding of Industrial Systems and with industry standards such as NIST 800-53, 800-82, and 800-8183.
  • Working knowledge and application of the network segmentation Perdue Model.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry·
  • Entry level Cybersecurity Certification (CEH, CompTIA, GISF. GSEC etc.).
