Job Description

Are you passionate about driving learning culture and fostering continuous improvement? Join our company as a Commercial Learning & Development Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commercial capabilities. You will oversee the development and execution of strategic L&D initiatives across business units, ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals. This position offers the opportunity to lead collaborative efforts, design innovative training programs, and make a significant impact on our company's success.

This position will report into Director, Commercial Operations and will have two direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercial capability building strategy and operational planning, aligning with company strategic priorities and delivering impacts.

  • Training Design & Development

    • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; Partner with Commercial Leaders such as Business Unit Directors, Sales and marketing leads and SFE for the continuous analysis of training needs

    • Evaluate the required sales selling skills/marketing capabilities (F2F or cross-channel selling) and design the training accordingly

    • Establish short- and long-term strategies for sales and marketing competency & capability development including Human Health training curriculum management such L3 Next, Marketing Foundations and Sales leadership forum

    • Design evaluation processes and measurement tools to assure achievement of learning and performance objectives

    • Navigate external and in-house training resources to optimize training options and solutions portfolio

  • Training delivery & evaluation

    • Oversee effective deliver training and facilitate the planned trainings in a timely manner

    • Ensure to apply, teach, and coach the theories and practices of selling, sales management, and product management to develop skills, knowledge, and performance of the business units

    • Generate evaluation report to measure effectiveness of the training program implemented and analyse findings & report timely feedback on learning effectiveness to the business and develop appropriate action steps

    • Feedback with stakeholders, and monitor impact and cost effectiveness of learning solutions; suggest improvements to further enhance learning program effectiveness and sustainability

  • Lead Monthly marketing forum and coordination L3 next marketing training

  • Localize AP regional/global L&D strategies and initiatives that may be rolled out in the future for integrating with local L&D strategic priorities for business impacts

  • Provide coaching and enhancing capability of L&D team members

  • Manage training resources and budget.

Desired Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in pharmacy/medicine

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in healthcare industry or FMCG industries

  • Learning & Development experience

  • Sales and marketing experience is advantages

  • People and team management experience

  • Strong strategic thinking, communication skills and organizational skills are required

Functional Competencies Required:

  • Learning consultation: The ability to set a vision, evolve and adapt innovative learning strategies in alignment with enterprise, HR, and/or business priorities. The ability to develop credibility and trust with the business and understand their needs to make appropriate learning assumptions and solutions. The ability to conduct needs assessments and/or capability-gap analyses and identify required skills and knowledge that need to be included in the learning intervention.

  • Instructional design &content development: The ability to understand, identify and use established instructional design strategies, modalities, methodologies, and technologies to design the most appropriate formal and/or informal learning solutions to meet the organizational learning needs. The ability to create learning solutions based upon the needs analysis results and instructional design strategy using appropriate authoring tools.

  • Learning technology: The ability to use, instruct and/or consult on established technologies, tools, and systems to enhance/provide technical solutions and strategies for learning, while remaining current on available and new technologies/solutions. The ability to adhere to and operate within learning technology governance and conduct system audits to maintain and validate data integrity. (Learning)

  • Learning execution & delivery: The ability to prepare for and moderate learning in a manner that engages the learner and meets course objectives and intended business outcomes. The ability to facilitate engaging face-to-face, virtual synchronous and/or virtual asynchronous learning solutions based on adult learning principles, audience learning styles, and knowledge of content. (Advanced)

  • Learning measurement & evaluation: The ability to identify, gather, organize, analyze, and report information regarding the impact of learning solutions against key business drivers and evolving strategic priorities. The ability to present information in a way that is meaningful to the organization, and to use learning metrics and analytics to inform organizational decision making. (Advanced)
