Join our team at the Dundalk facility and play a leading role in developing and implementing our Environmental, Safety, and Health (EHS) Management System to ensure full compliance with legal requirements and our company's global standards.
Responsibilities
- Be the EHS point of contact and owner of numerous cross-site local EHS standards.
- Complete EHS gap assessments and audits in line with our company Global Safety and Environment Standards.
- Compile and submit required safety, health, and environmental reports to corporate and regulatory agencies.
- Manage implementation of GSE Audit corrective actions to completion across Dundalk.
- Assist with managing contractor EHS compliance and related high-risk work safety procedures.
- Ensure that Pre-Start Up, Safety, Environment Review (PSSER) and new product introductions are compliant with regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead site meetings, compile performance data, and present where appropriate.
- Support Dundalk site run the business Tier processes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Develop and target the EHS cross-site training strategy and support delivery and coaching for both management and employees.
- Manage EHS documentation through various IT system platforms.
- Ensure adequate records are maintained to demonstrate compliance with EHS procedures and the EHS management system.
- Participate in Hoshin Kanri change the business annual plans and support Ireland cross-sites team collaboration.
- Demonstrate collaboration with site colleagues to promote a safe by choice culture.
- Ensure that events are fully investigated, and that appropriate Corrective and Preventative actions are put in place.
- Review processes, facilities, procedures, and management of change documents to assure conformance to recognized EHS regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Develop successful permitting strategies based on regulatory requirements, site operations, and site business operating plans.
Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental, Safety Management, or related fields, or Technical primary Bachelor degree with relevant EHS experience.
- EHS experience in Oil and Gas, Energy, Chemical, and/or Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries. Will consider other highly regulated industries.
- Thorough understanding of all applicable EHS regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders on EHS matters.
- Ability to manage complex programs and balance strategic needs with tactical day-to-day activities.
- Risk Management, assessment, and implementing controls appropriate to the risk.
- Experience in successfully implementing EHS programs enterprise wide.
- Experience in managing and implementing change.
- Written and oral communication skills that support clear and concise presentation of information through all levels of an organization.
- Proven leadership skills and an appetite to assume responsibility for appropriate decision-making pertaining to EHS matters.
- Experience supporting multiple activities/projects and working with EHS regulatory agencies and corporate support functions.
