What will you do?
Maintain optimal software asset inventory vs. contract T&Cs; collect/analyze usage to right‑size licenses and reduce waste.
Prioritize vendor backlog; run screening assessments; lead data calls with IT/Business; ensure complete, accurate inputs for ELP creation.
Identify under/over‑utilization; drive reclamation/harvesting and reassignment to cut cost and risk.
Data Quality — ServiceNow SAM Pro : Import/cleanse entitlement; validate with Procurement/Product Owners; sign‑off on imports; resolve complex SKU/metric mismatches.
Audit & True‑Ups : Coordinate evidence (PoE, deployment, usage); verify completeness; support vendor audits, renewals, and entitlement deep dives.
Build advanced compliance/utilization reports and trend dashboards; deliver actionable insights for data‑driven decisions.
Identify/remediate non‑approved software and compliance gaps; enforce license models and license‑term requirements.
Tooling & Automation: Contribute to SAM while automating repetitive tasks to increase productivity and accuracy.
Validate process feasibility; document refinements; review SAM Pro rules/config before prod; mentor juniors.
Engage vendors/procurement; escalate findings; assess market changes/trends and impact on software portfolio.
Continuously improve the end‑to‑end software asset lifecycle for cost savings, risk avoidance, and better decisions.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
SAM Expertise: Hands-on experience in entitlements, license recognition/model maintenance, reconciliation, workflows, and reporting.
Experience: 2+ years in SAM/ITAM, including software vendor licensing and full software lifecycle processes; ITAM certification preferred.
Tools & Platforms: Strong knowledge of ServiceNow; ServiceNow SAM Pro expertise highly valued; experience with other SAM tools a plus.
Data & Reporting: Skilled in ELP creation, reclamation workflows, advanced reporting, and data quality checks across discovery feeds.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to integrate data sources, automate processes, and maintain high data integrity.
Analytical Strength: Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter.
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Adaptability: Quick learner of complex technologies and vendor-specific licensing models.
