Our Benelux commercial organization (119 FTE) is responsible for the sales of our entire, mostly preventive veterinary portfolio to veterinarians and wholesalers in the region. The department is made up of talented experts working in different fields, such as sales, marketing, market access, digital, commercial management, veterinary science and are divided between two offices in Boxmeer and Brussels. United by a shared passion, they strive to make our medicines, vaccines, services, and solutions accessible to animals and the caring individuals overseeing them. Together, they form the foundation of our leading position in the market. Our Ruminants & Technology Solutions Business Unit (19 FTE) focuses on providing preventive products, solutions, and services to veterinarians and farmers in the Benelux ruminants’ market.
Purpose of the role
You will lead and inspire the Benelux Ruminants & Technology Solutions business to deliver measurable commercial and strategic impact. As a member of the Benelux Leadership Team reporting to the Managing Director, you are accountable for achieving and exceeding financial, operational and people objectives while strengthening our market leadership in ruminant animal health and technology solutions. Your primary outcomes are accelerated revenue and margin growth from ruminant portfolios and digital/technology solutions; clear differentiation through customer-centric innovation; consistent delivery of strategic initiatives within budget; and a high-performing, engaged, inclusive team that collaborates effectively across regional and global functions. You will be a visible, value-driven leader who translates evolving customer needs into commercially successful offers and sustainable competitive advantage.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Lead, coach and empower cross-functional and international teams to achieve high performance and employee engagement.
- Define and execute the ruminant commercial and technology strategy for Benelux to meet growth and profitability targets.
- Own P&L and budget management for the unit; ensure disciplined resource allocation and timely reporting.
- Develop and deliver commercial initiatives that drive adoption of digital and technological solutions.
- Translate customer insights into differentiated, customer-centric products and services.
- Build and maintain cross-regional and global partnerships (commercial, technical, operations) to scale solutions and share best practices.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
- Set measurable KPIs and use data to track performance, adapt plans and report outcomes to senior leadership.
- Champion inclusion, agility and company values in leadership behaviors and organizational culture.
- Represent the business externally to customers, partners and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and brand position.
Your profile
- Degree in Health Sciences/Veterinary Science, ideally with postgraduate business study (e.g., MBA).
- Senior experience in commercial roles or equivalent, ideally within the animal health market, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
- Proven track record of inspirational and transformational leadership, building and leading high-performing commercial teams.
- Skilled in navigating and influencing within an international matrix organization, driving rapid growth, and elevating market position in a cluster, aligned with regional objectives and with unwavering ethics and integrity.
- Excellent command of the English language (French and/or Dutch is an asset).
- Living at a reasonable distance from Boxmeer or Brussels and able to travel across the Benelux for up to 50%.
