What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and testing to agreed schedules and timelines
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, instrumentation and control equipment including PLCs, SCADA and industrial networks
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and plant monitoring system alarms promptly, occasionally after hours
  • Deliver facility and equipment continuous improvement, change and corrective actions and support new equipment introduction and retirement
  • Maintain accurate records in logbooks, worksheets and the Maintenance Management System and complete ancillary documentation and investigation reports
  • Author and technically review assigned SOPs
  • Replenish and manage spare parts inventory and records
  • Maintain housekeeping and calibration/validation equipment to EHS and SOP standards and complete assigned inspections
  • Identify, document and rectify common faults, investigate technical issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with and execute small capital projects under supervision and support wider maintenance team activities

EHS and compliance

  • Comply with Electrical Safety Act 2002 (QLD), relevant regulations and AS/NZS 3000 standard
  • Identify, document, assess and control hazards and environmental aspects in your area
  • Support development and delivery of EHS objectives, training, audits, inspections and reporting

What You Must have

Education:

  • Current QLD Electrical Mechanic Licence (Essential to have)
  • Certificate III or IV in Electrotechnology Electrician (Essential to have)
  • Certificate III in Instrumentation Control preferable

Technical Skills:

  • Fault finding of electrical, instrumentation and control equipment
  • Reliability Strategies (Preventive/ Predictive) for electrical, instrumentation and control equipment
  • SAP Plant Maintenance system experience preferable
  • Maintenance System Spare Parts Management and Inventory Control
  • Understanding of Change Management Processes
  • High level of computer literacy: comprehensive knowledge and detailed application of MS Office computer software
  • Quick to adapt and adopt new or changing systems

Experience:

  • Solid Prior experience in an industrial Electrical, Instrumentation and Control role (Manufacturing or Food industry preferred)
  • Solid Prior experience with PLC’s, SCADA systems and industrial networks
  • Experience with power distribution, protection, PV and battery inverter systems
