Position Overview
The Global Sourcing Management Group (GSMG) & Global Workplace & Enterprise Services (GWES) are part of Global Support Functions (GSF). GSMG plays a critical role in innovating for a more hopeful future by collaborating with business partners, customers, and suppliers to deliver value, insights, and solutions. The GWES organization is comprised of Facility Management, Real Estate Strategy, Transactions & Dispositions, Energy Management & Sustainability, Workplace Strategy, Integrated Facility Management, Analytics & Innovation, Asset Management, and Maintenance Excellence for all global commercial, mixed-use campuses, and research laboratories.
Within GSMG and GWES is the Digital Strategy & Insights Office that is responsible for accelerating business outcomes through digital enablement. This team consists of a Digital Capability, Information Governance, Business Process, and Digital Delivery functions. The Delivery team is focused on driving execution excellence for projects on the GSMG and GWES digital roadmap, along with providing ongoing execution support of digitally enabled business processes.
This role will play a crucial role in providing execution support for operational activities of the procurement function within our organization. This resource will work with stakeholders of the procurement function (internal and external to procurement) who request support in usage of digital solutions in completing sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and other related activities. This position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role will actively monitor for process optimization opportunities and support the exploration of their feasibility, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in procurement operations.
This resource will also be involved (on an as-needed basis) in the requirements gathering and testing of new digital solutions being proposed for procurement business process enablement.
Position Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Execution Support: Provide comprehensive execution support for procurement operational activities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Act as a point of contact for stakeholders seeking assistance with digital solutions in sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
· Task Management: Manage task execution and reporting using agile project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA). Participate in daily stand-ups and similar ceremonies to ensure timely completion of tasks.
· Process Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update detailed process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to procurement functions. Ensure that documentation is accessible, user-friendly, and reflects current practices.
· Process Optimization: Continuously monitor procurement processes to identify optimization opportunities. Conduct feasibility analysis for proposed improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement operations.
· Training and Onboarding: Training and onboarding of new team members on procurement processes, tools, and best practices. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance team capabilities.
· Digital Solutions Testing: Participate in the requirements gathering and testing of new digital solutions proposed for procurement business process enablement. Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs and are effectively integrated into existing workflows.
Education & Experience Requirements
· Minimum of 7 years of upstream Procurement processes (direct and indirect sourcing, contracting, supplier mgmt., etc.). Experience in downstream processes (e.g. invoicing, AP, etc.) is a plus.
· Fluency in English language required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
· Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Technology or related field.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills Requirements
· Demonstrated proficiency in procurement tools such as SAP Ariba, ECC, S4, and Fieldglass with a strong understanding of their functionalities and best practices. Experience with procurement analytics tools and dashboards is an advantage.
· Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.
· Demonstrated adaptability to changing business needs and a willingness to learn technologies and processes
