Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic, self-starter to join our Enterprise Information Technology team to help us identify and deliver business solutions, in partnership with Global Workplace and Enterprise Services and Information Technology colleagues. These critical functions operate at a global scale, supporting our business in over 130 countries.
As a member of the Global Supplier Management and Workplace Services team, you will support a product portfolio that includes SaaS applications, the AWS ecosystem, Databricks, IoT, and networking. A general understanding of these technologies is expected.
What will you do in this role:
- Design, modify, and validate software systems and components by developing robust applications and clear technical documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and the user experience.
- Develop and implement software capabilities for creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting data, ensuring solutions meet organizational objectives for security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, data fidelity, flexibility, and portability.
- Perform thorough validation and testing of applications in accordance with organizational security standards and reporting requirements.
- Support incident management, disaster recovery, and post‑mortem processes to improve operational resilience.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet IT commitments and contribute to organizational goals.
What should you have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in large, complex IT development projects
- A good understanding of DB Management System and DWH and Data Lakehouse concepts is required
- Hands-on experience in Python or JavaScript programming is necessary.
- The candidate should be familiar with the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigm and able to read and should be interested in cross-skilling when necessary.
- Experience working with APIs is essential, specifically in programmatically interacting with API endpoints.
- Experience in SaaS application configuration and providing full lifecycle release support
- A working knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue is good to have.
- Concept of GenAI, RAG, Embedding and Vector stores is good to have.
- Knowledge of Databricks is good to have.
- Exposure to Git version control best practices and working in a collaborative development environment and DevSecOps.
- Supplier, Procurement, Facilities Management experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications and collaboration skills.
