We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Product Analyst to join our AH IT Technology Product team, supporting the tax module. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to understand the business requirements and translate them into effective solutions. You should possess end-to-end process knowledge of tax functions and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP and tax solution deployments, including coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth integration with existing business processes, and maintaining tax compliance.
What will you do in this role:
This role requires an understanding of tax rules, strong understanding of tax codes, analytical skills, and experience with financial and data analysis tools
Responsible for understanding tax requirements and translating them into clear functional requirements for tax-related software products, with a focus on indirect taxes like VAT, GST, and sales tax
Define and review test cases and validate tax scenarios in various business operations
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of SAP Tax Engine and OneSource Tax Engine to ensure accurate tax determination and compliance
Support the integration of tax engines with core SAP modules, including FI (Financial Accounting), SD (Sales and Distribution), and MM (Materials Management)
Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze tax processes, and document functional specifications
Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate tax engine functionality and data flows
Troubleshoot and resolve tax calculation issues in SAP and OneSource environments by analyzing system logs and user reports
Assist in periodic updates and upgrades of tax engine software, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes
Support the preparation of user guides, training materials, and technical documentation for end-users and stakeholders
Stay current with new tax technology developments and regulatory changes that may impact system configurations
What should you have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Understanding indirect tax concepts such as VAT, GST, and sales tax is required. Familiarity with regional regulations (e.g., EMEA, APAC) is considered beneficial
Basic knowledge of SAP ERP modules, specifically FI, SD, and MM processes
Familiarity with SAP Tax Engine and/or OneSource Tax Engine is required
Understanding of e-invoicing process and tax compliance requirements is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with a passion for process improvement and technology-driven solutions
