Role Overview:

This Senior Specialist role will report into the SAP Platform’s Change Management function. This function manages processes and tools enabling change management, system access, end user training, business readiness for solution deployment and on-going sustainment.

The SAP Platform Team, part of the EIT organization, owns our company’s SAP Global Template which enables enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.

What will you do in this role:

  • Strategy & Leadership: Lead Point of Contact for support of all SAP Platform Organizational Readiness & Adoption (OR&A) activities in assigned division (degree of touch may vary by initiative - Advise, Manage, Execute), while ensuring alignment with broader OR&A strategies at EIT & SAP Platform level to drive both successful initiatives and ongoing sustainment efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with business implementation teams to drive change management, role management, training, communication, and business readiness activities to enable effective adoption of SAP Platform solutions (initiatives and sustainment). Drive use of global SAP Platform methodologies, tools, and best practices tailored to initiative scope and needs.
  • Development and execution of OR&A plans to support initiative deployments and key sustainment efforts with emphasis on delivering on schedule while minimizing potential business disruption. Will require working in partnership with global process owners, local business area, SAP Platform product line and service teams, ITRMS, etc.
  • Onboard new regions/divisions to a broad scope of activities related to SAP Platform Organizational Readiness Adoption. Manage project plan and assign resources of SAP Platform and with members of the Business who:
    • Develop an understanding of process/technology/organization change impacts and develop stakeholder change impact plans for assigned functional area
    • Coordination of communication plans, messaging and channels with partners in business communication networks for both internal and external targets.
    • Execute Role Management actions including organization of Role Education, Mapping and Mapping Data verification
    • Conduct Training Assessment, Calendar Development, Delivery Preparation and Execution of End User Training
    • Perform Go-Live cutover activities including quality verification of role mapping, supporting SOD process
    • Perform Hypercare Planning and execute Post go-live stabilization support activities, Coordinate Sustainment planning and preparation efforts.
    • Conduct Risk Readiness, in partnership with region / division business members, to assess people and organizational readiness for Release Launch.
  • Technology & Tools: Ownership of various technologies which Change team, Role Management & Training team uses regularly to meet its core objectives, including team sites and shared drives.
  • SAP Deployment & Sustainment (Deliver against the Portfolio Roadmap): Drive regional SAP Platform sustainment activities for respective region.
    • Support regional Communities of Practice with SAP Platform related items
    • Manage ongoing requirements such as role management, training delivery, and release management activities (e.g. Release Notes and management of QASR documentation)
    • Support annual Role Recertification process
    • Act as regional point of contact for sustainment related questions / Manage engagement of other change leads (if needed) based on divisional area initiating request in geography
    • Provide translation between region and global SAP Platform team as it relates to Change, Training related tools and data (SharePoint sites, mailbox mgmt., maintenance of sustainment lead, local process steward, role approver date, etc.)

What Should you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or any Technology stream.
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Business Readiness and Change Management for technology-enabled projects or programs with a strong preference for background in Human Health and Finance sectors.
  • Direct experience in Change Management is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience leading user readiness efforts in an S4 program (preferably in a transition from an existing SAP solution platform)
  • Significant experience managing medium-to-large projects (developing plans, identifying resource requirements, tracking progress, managing issues, etc.)
  • Personal accountability, teaming, and organizational skills to drive and track success.
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization, participating in cross-divisional projects and building peer relationships.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, Demand Management Tools (Jira) and collaboration tools (Confluence, Mural, MS Teams) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of interacting with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Aptitude and interest for learning new technology.
  • Aptitude for ‘translating’ business needs into relevant technical strategies and solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills
