An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) in our organization. This position will be responsible for overseeing medical activities for the cardiovascular therapeutic area, ensuring high standards of scientific and clinical excellence.
Reporting to the Medical Director, the Medical Affairs Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, market access, policy and communication to support strategic initiatives and drive impactful medical projects..
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
Optimize medical and clinical excellence across the product lifecycle by developing and implementing the Medical Affairs Plan (MAP) for the cardiovascular therapeutic area, including local planning and budget management.
Act as the medical and scientific expert for the cardiovascular therapeutic area, providing input into business strategies, market access, health economics, and ensuring the scientific accuracy of promotional materials.
Build and maintain high-level scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, and societies, including organizing and leading Advisory Boards and contributing to CME activities.
Plan and execute local data generation programs and publication activities, securing necessary approvals and ensuring alignment with product strategies and local healthcare needs.
Engage with regulatory and reimbursement authorities on scientific and medical matters, and provide input into formulary and clinical guideline development.
Collaborate effectively within cross-functional and matrix teams (Market Access, Marketing, Policy, Regulatory, Clinical Operations), demonstrating strong ethical standards, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills in English and Slovak.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
A Medical Degree or Pharmacy Doctor degree (preferred), or alternatively a degree in Pharmacy or biosciences with a PhD in these areas.
Clear evidence of dedication to biosciences, ideally with a background close to medicine or pharmacy.
Prior experience in a Medical Affairs or similar role to be able to work independently.
Priori experience in the relevant therapeutic area: Cardiovascular
Proficiency in the local language and English.
A strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Strong data orientation and attention to detail when working with scientific and clinical information.
Openness to continuous learning
Excellent networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive professional relationships.
