We're looking for a dedicated expert to join our Animal Health team in Ireland in a role where you'll be the go-to technical specialist for our ruminant products, providing invaluable support to our customers, sales teams and marketing efforts.
This is a dynamic, field-based position where you'll spend your time making a real impact – you'll work directly with veterinarians and farmers, share your knowledge and contribute to the health and welfare of animals across the country.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
- Your responsibilities will be varied, with a focus on providing hands-on support where it's needed most. You can expect your time to be roughly split between:
- Sales & Customer Support (45%): Partnering with our account managers on customer visits, delivering engaging presentations, and offering expert advice to ensure our products are used effectively
- Marketing Support (30%): Acting as a technical expert for our marketing team, helping to shape strategy, develop materials, and manage product trials
- Technical Enquiries (25%): Serving as a primary point of contact for customer questions and investigating pharmacovigilance reports with care and precision
- Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert support to our customers by answering their technical questions about our products and general animal health. You'll also support investigations into adverse event reports, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
- Empower Our Team: Collaborate with account managers by joining them on client calls and delivering technical training to help them succeed. You'll also provide follow-up support at veterinary practices and farms.
- Drive Product Success: Work closely with product managers to identify market opportunities, analyse product performance, and contribute to strategies that defend and grow our market presence.
- Uphold Compliance: Ensure all promotional materials are accurate, ethical, and compliant with industry codes of practice. You'll also monitor competitor activities to ensure a fair market.
- Share Your Knowledge: Develop and deliver technical training for our internal teams. You'll also represent our company at industry meetings, conferences, and events, sharing your expertise and building our reputation.
- Build Connections: Develop strong relationships with key figures in the Irish agricultural industry, including academic institutions and diagnostic laboratories, to keep our company at the forefront of new developments.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you are:
- A qualified veterinary surgeon with a licence to work in the Republic of Ireland and 5 years of clinical experience with large animals or in a mixed practice
- Deeply interested in veterinary care and the agricultural industry
- Someone who enjoys building relationships and can clearly explain complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and contribute to our commercial goals.
- An organised and ethical professional who can effectively manage their time across multiple priorities.
- A person who is comfortable with a flexible schedule, as this role requires some travel and attendance at evening and weekend meetings.
