Role Overview
The Senior Specialist, Project Manager – Quality Management Systems Transformation will lead and deliver large-scale Quality Management Systems transformation programs in Veeva Quality Vault with a strong focus on Audit Management, Deviations, Change Control, CAPA, and related quality modules. This role requires deep expertise in project and program management, hands-on experience with Agile delivery, and the ability to coach and scale Agile ways of working across cross‑functional teams.
The role will own end‑to‑end delivery of Quality Management Systems initiatives within veeva platform—from strategy, planning, and execution through value realization—while ensuring compliance, quality, and timely outcomes. The Senior Manager will also be accountable for budget management, capacity planning, and stakeholder communication, acting as a key interface between business, quality, and technology teams.
What will you do in this role
1. Lead QMS Transformation Programs
Own and deliver enterprise‑scale Quality Management Systems transformation initiatives within Veeva Quality vault including modernization and optimization of:
Audit Management
Qdocs – Content Management & Risk Management
Déviations, CAPA
Change Control
Supplier Risk & Supplier transparency
Document Management and Quality Workflows.
Translate Quality and Regulatory requirements into executable delivery plans and system capabilities.
Ensure solutions align with GxP, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
2. Program & Project Management
Manage multiple concurrent projects and programs within the veeva Quality Management Systems portfolio.
Work with veeva platform team to manage regular releases and changes.
Define clear program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and outcomes.
Proactively identify and mitigate delivery, compliance, and technology risks.
Drive predictable execution with strong status reporting, governance, and escalation.
3. Lead Agile delivery across teams, owning:
Sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Sprint commitments and delivery predictability for transformation programs as well as Devops for regular releases.
Manage and optimize Kanban, Agile, and DevOps boards to ensure transparency and flow.
Partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering leaders to deliver incremental value.
4. Agile Coaching & Ways of Working
Act as an Agile coach and mentor for the Quality Management Systems delivery teams.
Embed Agile best practices while balancing compliance‑driven documentation and controls.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and outcome‑based delivery.
Help teams evolve from project-centric to product and value-stream thinking.
5. Stakeholder & Partner Management
Serve as a trusted delivery leader for Quality, Compliance, Business, and IT stakeholders.
Manage expectations, dependencies, and prioritization across global teams.
Partner with vendor and system integrators, ensuring delivery quality and contractual outcomes.
6. Budget & Financial Management
Own program budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
Ensure optimal utilization of internal and external resources.
Track benefits realization and ensure delivery aligns with business value.
7. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, scrum masters, and delivery leads.
Build high‑performing teams with strong execution discipline and quality mindset.
Support talent development in Quality Management Systems domain knowledge, Agile delivery, and leadership skills.
What should you have
· The ideal candidate will bring strong Quality Management Systems domain expertise with proven experience implementing or oversee veeva quality vault implementations combined with proven program delivery and Agile leadership experience.
· They should have 10-12 years of overall experience, including senior-level ownership of large QMS transformation initiatives covering Audit Management, Deviations, Change Control, CAPA, and related quality modules, ideally within regulated environments (Pharma, Life Sciences, MedTech, or similar).
· They will have demonstrated strength in end‑to‑end program and project management, successfully delivering multiple concurrent initiatives while managing risks, dependencies, governance, and senior stakeholders. Hands‑on experience with Agile delivery is essential, including running sprints, managing Kanban and DevOps boards, and coaching teams in Agile ways of working while balancing regulatory and compliance needs.
· The role requires solid experience in budget ownership, vendor management, and resource planning, along with the ability to link delivery outcomes to business value. Strong people leadership, communication, and influencing skills are critical, as is the ability to mentor delivery leaders and build high‑performing teams. Familiarity with common Agile and QMS tools and platforms is expected, with certifications in project management, Agile, or quality considered a plus.
