Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of our current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research & Development Division, Supply Chain Manufacturing Division, Marketing (in our Human Health division) organizations as well as Enabling Functions.
The EIT SAP Platform Team is responsible for our Company's SAP Global Template asset, delivering enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.
Within the EIT SAP Platform Team, the EIT Indirect Tax Lead will assume responsibility for developing new solutions or enhancing existing solutions in the Global Indirect Tax product areas to address the core application backlog across the Tax product domain. They will report to the SAP Platform Integrated Delivery Lead. They will partner and build key relationships with the Finance Value Team Lead, and the Tax Management Product and Product Line leads to deliver technical solutions for the company’s Corporate Tax department. They will address emerging automation and analytical needs of the Global Corporate Tax Team. They will gain a deep understanding of the business processes, systems, and data that support strategic processes and programs related to our Indirect Tax product group. They will work with a high-performing team of software engineers to deliver robust technology solutions. They will also share knowledge and collaborate with others in areas of technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
Work as Leader of a Team of Specialists & Developers to manage the application stack and ensure delivery on project backlog
Utilize expertise in Indirect Tax products such as OneSource, SAP-Tax, Ariba-Tax, Concur-Tax, Compliance and VAT reporting and the core business processes supported to deliver solutions to the business
Coordinate with client facing product management team and business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet requirements
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of modern development practices and technology stack on the cloud
Partner with other IT organizations to ensure alignment with Platform teams, IT architecture, IT Risk management, support organizations in delivering projects
Contribute as a Lead on critical initiatives, share best practices, technical expertise and collaborate and earn the trust and respect of the product team
Demonstrate ability to focus on key priorities and lead and collaborate effectively to deliver on IT commitments
Strive to be a valued member of the extended IT Delivery and Product team
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working in a multinational corporation's IT-ERP or Tax function supporting indirect tax technology solutions
Experience working with large technical teams
Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, and sustainment of SAP ECC or S/4 tax functionality and integration with an external Tax engine, specifically, Thomson Reuters’ OneSource for Indirect Tax
Experience in Tax Connector setup & customizing like GlobalNext
SAP-Tax experience
Knowledge of the SAP suite of products and the interfaces required for indirect tax determination and reporting, including Ariba, Concur, and compliance reporting packages
Indirect Tax determination and reporting: Expertise in the design, implementation, configuration using: eReporting, SAF-T (Standard Audit File for Tax), DART (Data Retention Tool), etc in a SAP and Thomson Reuters OneSource Determination environment using SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance), CPI , etc.
Strong technical experience in working with SAP ABAP development teams and implementation of custom solutions and integrations related to indirect tax
Strong understanding of end-to-end Procurement, Sales & Delivery and Finance processes and life cycles
Proficient with Agile software development and, DevSecOps approaches
Excellent written and verbal communications and collaboration skills
Demonstrates an executive presence through good communication and professionalism
Proven record of excellent performance
Experienced in requirements gathering, customer interaction, detailed documentation of requirements, solutions and functional specifications, including the creation of process and data flows
Practical exposure on withholding tax process
Nice to Haves:
Good knowledge on Tax localization for countries like India, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine & Japan
Sabrix / OneSource configuration, & testing experience
Exposure to SAP SD/MM and experience working on Finance applications
Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed environment desired
Testing of Tax scenarios in SAP processes using automated test tools like TOSCA
