Role Overview

Join a global healthcare biopharma technology team based in Prague and help build reliable, secure, and scalable platforms that support life-changing medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. As an SRE Engineer, you’ll focus on improving system reliability, automating operations, and collaborating with product teams to deliver secure, high-performing services that meet business needs.

What will you do in this role

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability and performance of applications and platforms.
  • Implement automation, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery.
  • Define and track reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets) and act on data to improve availability and performance.
  • Respond to incidents, participate in blameless postmortems, and drive remediation and follow-up actions.
  • Build tools and scripts to automate operational tasks (scripting in Bash/PowerShell; Python or similar preferred).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and geographically distributed colleagues to coordinate upgrades, patches, and platform changes.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, configuration artifacts, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Contribute to platform engineering practices and mentor junior team members.

What should you have

Primary skill-AWS/ Azure, CICD, Python/Bash/PowerShell, Databricks, SRE/Devops , VPNs, Git, Linux

Secondary skill- Familiarity with Conversational BI tools, Power Platform, and emerging LLM/Copilot concepts.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and operating SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, and error budget processes.Proficiency with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing).
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Professional, Kubernetes, etc.) are a plus.BSc in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • .3+ years of practical experience in operations, site reliability, or DevOps engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP experience valuable).
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration.
  • Experience with Git, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar), CI/CD tooling, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of SRE principles: SLAs/SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, incident response.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell); experience with Python, Java, or another programming language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals: virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls.
  • Awareness of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Basic experience with Power Platform, Conversational BI tools, or LLM/Copilot concepts.
  • Good communicator, able to work with global, multi-cultural teams.
  • AWS Professional certification or other cloud certifications.
  • Working knowledge of Azure services.
  • Familiarity with data analytics platforms and cloud-native analytics services.
  • Experience building multi-tenant or platform-as-a-service solutions.
