Global Product Master (GPM) Data Analyst, Sr Specialist
The Data Strategy, Governance and Knowledge management team within the Central Data & Analytics Office (CD&AO) organization serves at the core of our master data management process, focused on enabling the value of our master data portfolio via expert data management, change management, data governance and end-to-end coordination across Business, Operations and IT stakeholders. GPM Data Analysts are critical to the Data Strategy & Governance model, supporting product launch excellence, sales incentive planning, and representative product detailing. Product Master data is a prerequisite for linking key attributes in data deliverables to usable product information (e.g., NDC mapping).
The GPM Data Analyst will play a key role in enabling value from our product data assets via expert data management and governance, functional area subject matter expertise, and change management leadership. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, successfully working through ambiguity, excellent communication and people skills, a problem-solver mindset, and approaching the role with intellectual curiosity.
This role will provide the participant with exposure to the various business areas within the IT and Human Health organizations including marketing and field support. Additionally, the candidate will gain experience working within a mature master data management system and will be part of the team to upgrade the system to a modernized solution.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Working collaboratively with Business, Operations, and IT stakeholders to ensure data management processes support key business use cases.
Processing the monthly formulary files which are required by the IAM organization. Ensuring the files are delivered on time, execution of quality checks and processing overrides as outlined by IAM.
Coordination and processing of the annual frozen price data provided by IQVIA.
Management of market definition additions, changes and annual reviews that support Sales Reporting, Commercial Analytics and Contracting. Downstream consumers use the market definitions to group product information to support business use cases.
Market Definition processing for the Sales Force Automation (SFA) group requires an additional legal component that must be managed. The SFA Group also requires additions and modifications due to our company product FDA approvals. This activity requires hosting monthly meetings with business stakeholders to review upcoming changes and solicit all necessary approvals.
Management of the quarterly IQVIA diagnosis code file which is a pre-requisite for managing the internal indication and product mappings in support of Project Apollo which is used for Oncology related SIP activities.
Participation in all aspects of the Systems Development Lifecycle for GPM releases including providing business requirements, creation of user acceptance testing documents, execution of UAT and the production of all necessary documents. Coordination with downstream consumers for testing is a requirement.
Maintenance of all GPM related documentation including SOPs (including an annual review), presentations, and website documentation.
Participation in product launch planning which requires attendance at weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings, including the NDC Council.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the product data domain, supporting downstream consumers and their use of the product master data.
Required experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data management, sales or marketing operations, and/or a sales or marketing role within the biopharmaceutical or life science industry.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Experience managing stakeholders and communicating with vendors.
Education and required experience:
Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT, MBA, or an equivalent scientific/commercial discipline within the pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred experience:
5 or more years’ experience in data management, sales or marketing operations, and/or a sales or marketing role within the biopharmaceutical or life science industry.
Experience utilizing master data and data & analytics focused IT solutions, specifically Informatica MDM (including IDD and Hierarchy Manager).
SQL and advanced knowledge of SQL tools (e.g., SQL Navigator or Toad).

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is
$117,000.00 - $184,200.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
