This role is based at our Hyderabad Tech Center and follows a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote). Candidates are expected to reside within a commuting distance of the Hyderabad office.

Overview

As a Quality Software Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and quality of our IT risk and compliance processes in ServiceNow by designing and executing test strategies across functional, integration and non-functional areas. This role owns test planning, automation development, data validation, defect management, and continuous improvement of QA practices. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers and delivery leads, to translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions. You should be ready to work independently as well as in a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, hands-on experience with ServiceNow and familiarity with test automation tools.

What you will do in this role

  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for our ServiceNow applications
  • Create and maintain test cases, automation scripts, and test data using AutomatePro
  • Log, track and verify defects; collaborate with developers, product owners and business analysts to prioritize and resolve issues
  • Apply best practices to drive and improve our QA processes and automation coverage
  • Produce test documentation and reports (execution logs, defect reports, summaries)
  • Work within a matrix organization, collaborating with both functional and product leadership
  • Review and support the work of junior team members
  • Participate in product planning, execution, and delivery to ensure alignment with business and product goals
  • Stay current with latest ServiceNow updates and test methodologies to recommend and drive process improvements

What should you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software QA or application testing, ideally in a ServiceNow environments

Primary skills (must-have)

  • Strong proficiency in test planning, test case design and execution supporting ServiceNow platform functionality and core modules
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts using AutomatePro
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and understanding of sprint-based testing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Secondary skills (nice to have)

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) capabilities
  • Pharma background or experience in other highly regulated industry
  • Using Jira to manage development and testing activities
