To support our Drug Safety & Metabolism Team in Schwabenheim (near Mainz), we are looking for you now, full-time, and initially for a fixed term of 1 year, as a



Senior Scientist (m/f/d), Preclinical Development in Animal Health



Your Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Scientifically support Research and Development activities for new and established products in animal health

  • Compile and assess pharmacological and toxicological profiles of chemical compounds by literature search and testing

  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate in-house or outsourced in-vitro and in-vivo studies according to GLP guidelines, including toxicology, target animal safety, pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and residue depletion.

  • Prepare expert reports, regulatory submissions and scientific presentations in English for authorities and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain and extend engagement with contract research organizations, external experts, and universities.

  • Act as preclinical representative within international multidisciplinary project teams

Your Qualifications

  • Veterinary Medicine degree, including PhD or comparable scientific credentials

  • Experience in Research and Development, ideally in the international veterinary pharmaceutical environment

  • Experience with managing animal studies, ideally under GLP

  • Strong background and experience in pharmacology, metabolism and toxicology, including evaluation of active substances

  • Precise, analytical, proactive and creative work approach to problem solving

  • Fluent written and spoken English and German language proficiency
