Job Description
Role Purpose
The Sr. Strategy Manager will serve as a core strategic intelligence & insight partner, providing senior leadership with real-time strategic insights to inform long-term strategic direction, expand near-term decision options, and shape company China strategy.
This role will build a holistic view on China macro dynamics, global perspectives on China market, China pharmaceutical market dynamics, competitive intelligence, monitoring these trends and translating into clear strategic implications, options, and recommendations for China.
Key Responsibilities
1. China Macro Dynamics & Global Perspectives on China market
- Monitor China macro dynamics, and identify potential opportunities and risks for our company
2. China Pharmaceutical Industry & Long‑Term Strategy Insight
- Track and analyze China Pharmaceutical Industry trends, develop a holistic, forward‑looking view in close partnership with cross-functional teams
- Synthesize disparate signals into clear strategic narratives
3. China Pharmaceutical Industry & Long‑Term Strategy Insight
- Monitor strategic movements of leading pharmaceutical/biotech players
- Translate competitor activity into actionable strategic implications, risks, and opportunities for China
4. China Pharmaceutical Industry & Long‑Term Strategy Insight
- Analyze annual and quarterly performance results
- Communicate concise insights on implications to China
5. China Pharmaceutical Industry & Long‑Term Strategy Insight
- Integrate insights across macro trends, industry dynamics, competitor intelligence into a coherent strategic view
- Act as a trusted thought partner to leadership on evolving strategic topics
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field; MBA or equivalent business training preferred
- 6–10+ years of experience in pharma strategy, consulting, corporate strategy, or commercial excellence
- Strong understanding of China pharma market dynamics and MNC operating models
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive insights
