Job Description

We aspire to be the premier research-intensive biopharmaceutical company. We're at the forefront of research to deliver innovative health solutions that advance the prevention and treatment of diseases in people and animals. Join our team as a US Commercial Data Lakehouse Tribe Lead and be a part of our mission to use the power of leading-edge science to save and improve lives around the world.

Responsibilities

Delivery Accountability

  • Own end-to-end delivery accountability for US Commercial Bronze and Silver data products across multiple delivery squads.

  • Coordinate delivery activities across squads, chapters, and supporting competencies (QA, Reliability, DevOps).

  • Ensure predictable delivery outcomes aligned with agreed priorities, milestones, and capacity commitments.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, cross-team dependencies, and execution blockers.

Planning and Alignment

  • Support PI planning, backlog alignment, and dependency management in a scaled agile / SAFe delivery environment.

  • Take over operational ownership of the modernized US Commercial data platform on Databricks once migration activities are completed.

  • Ensure the platform is stable, observable, and fit for continuous Bronze and Silver data delivery.

  • Work with Architecture, Reliability, and Platform teams to ensure operational standards, monitoring, and support processes are in place.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Drive continuous improvement of data pipelines and products within the boundaries of established platform and governance standards.

  • Drive and encourage AI-enabled delivery methods across US data delivery, including automation, assisted development, and intelligent quality checks, in line with chapter standards and governance.

  • Promote the use of AI to improve delivery efficiency, consistency, and time-to-value across Bronze and Silver data pipelines.

  • Work with Architecture and Platform teams to ensure AI-enabled approaches are applied responsibly, aligned with enterprise compliance, data governance, and observability requirements.

  • Encourage experimentation and adoption of new delivery patterns and tooling that support scalable, repeatable, and AI-ready data foundations.

Strategy and Communication

  • Co-create and maintain the US Commercial data domain strategy together with Data & Information Architecture and Gold Analytics stakeholders.

  • Ensure Bronze and Silver data products are aligned to clearly defined Gold use cases and business outcomes.

  • Translate the domain strategy into clear delivery priorities and execution plans for delivery squads.

  • Promote reuse, consistency, and standard data patterns across the US Commercial domain.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Domain Analysis & Planning team, responsible for intaking, structuring, and planning requirements into delivery in close cooperation with Bronze and Silver layer leads.

  • Communicate delivery status, risks, and trade-offs clearly and transparently to stakeholders.

  • Align delivery priorities with adjacent domains (e.g., Market Access, Forecasting) where data dependencies exist.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure data governance, lineage, and quality standards are consistently applied across all US Commercial Bronze and Silver pipelines.

  • Enforce adherence to SDLC, audit, and compliance requirements where applicable.

  • Partner with QA and Reliability teams to improve data quality, incident response, and operational resilience.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or coordinating data delivery across multiple squads or teams in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong understanding of data platforms and analytics delivery, including Bronze / Silver / Gold concepts.

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably Databricks or equivalent technologies.

  • Proven ability to drive delivery through influence and coordination, without relying on formal line management.

  • Experience working in scaled agile delivery models.

  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with technical, analytical, and business stakeholders.

  • Experience working in global, distributed teams across multiple time zones.

  • Experience in US Commercial, Market Access, or Life Sciences data domains is preferred.
