Strategy & Architecture Integration Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy & Architecture Integration Architect to join our CDNA (Central Data & Analytics) team. At our company, we are at the forefront of research to deliver innovative health solutions that advance the prevention and treatment of diseases in people and animals. This role will be responsible for defining and driving integration-first, agent-enabled architecture across enterprise Data & Analytics platforms. Responsibilities

  • Design interoperable frameworks connecting platforms such as Databricks, DataIKU, DBT, Kafka, Collibra, Power BI, and Immuta.
  • Establish integration-first principles and reusable patterns to support cross-platform data and analytics consumption.
  • Architect frameworks to integrate AI agents and MCP tools with enterprise data platforms.
  • Define API contracts, SDK patterns, and agent interaction layers to enable scalable agent-driven data access and orchestration.
  • Enable multi-channel consumption (agents, decision systems, dashboards, applications).
  • Ensure seamless interoperability across data engineering platforms (Databricks, DBT), ML/AI platforms (DataIKU), streaming (Kafka), governance (Collibra, Immuta), and visualization (Power BI).
  • Define standards for data exchange, schema evolution, metadata propagation, and lineage tracking.
  • Design and oversee event-driven architectures using Kafka and streaming frameworks.
  • Enable hybrid architectures supporting both real-time data flows and batch-oriented pipelines.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and resiliency across integration layers.
  • Integrate data governance, access control, and policy enforcement into architecture (Collibra, Immuta).
  • Ensure all integrations align with enterprise standards for data security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Support trusted data delivery for AI/agent consumption.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to align architecture with business goals.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, design reviews, and architecture governance.
  • Drive POCs/POVs to evaluate emerging tools and integration approaches.
  • Stay ahead of trends in agentic AI and automation, data mesh/data fabric architectures, and MCP and API-driven ecosystems.
  • Define and evolve reference architectures and blueprints for enterprise adoption.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of architecture experience in data integration (real-time and batch) and distributed data systems and cloud platforms.
  • Proven experience designing end-to-end data architecture solutions.
  • Strong experience with Databricks, DataIKU, DBT, Kafka, Collibra, Immuta, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in API-led integration and microservices-based architecture, event-driven and streaming architectures, and data modeling, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML platforms with data ecosystems.

Preferred

  • Experience with AI agents, agent orchestration frameworks, or MCP tools.
  • Exposure to semantic layers, knowledge graphs, or ontology-driven data access.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) in large-scale data platforms.
