Job Description
The Director of Life Cycle Management (LCM) & Future Strategy for Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) & Rare Disease will play an integral role on the newly established US Rare Disease & PH Scientific Strategy organization in our company's US Specialty Business Unit. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for leading portfolio strategy, managing long-term forecasting, establishing franchise strategy for launch and assessing viability of future assets for the rare disease and PH therapeutic area. This role requires strategic leadership, strong partnership with US & Global marketing and US payer marketing and significant collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
This position will report to the Executive Director, US Rare Disease & PH Scientific Strategy.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Lead the life cycle management portfolio strategy for rare disease business unit
Responsible for identifying and assessing potential new product opportunities based on strategic objectives, market potential, and resource allocation.
Develop US business development commercial assessments in collaboration with payor marketing team to identify future commercial opportunity
Help define the U.S. future potential for new products in the PH & Rare Disease space and represent the US perspective at various cross-functional new product planning meetings
Partner with global marketing to provide U.S. input into future clinical studies & combinations and provide US POV on stage-gate and development plan decisions
Partner with Market Access, Finance, Research, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure US perspective is considered in product strategy and business goals
Lead innovation workstreams to enhance near and long-term future commercial opportunities for PH & Rare Disease
Evaluate the competitive landscape to help define future opportunities for the portfolio
Lead the long-term forecasts for new products, considering market dynamics and potential revenue streams
Support the budget cycle processes and ensure BU alignment in preparation for senior management review
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BA/BS).
10+ years of relevant experience
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in effectively leading cross-functional, enterprise teams
Significant strategy development experience and in working in white space
Strong business acumen
Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills and executive presence
Forecasting experience
Understanding of US commercial and regulatory requirements
Has a growth mindset, advocates for agile ways of working, and supports team members in learning and adoption
Experience working in and with diverse teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
MBA or equivalent preferred
Launch experience
New Products Marketing experience
Pulmonary Hypertension experience
Artificial Intelligence proficiency

The salary range for this role is
$190,800.00 - $300,300.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
