Job Description

The Analytics Developer (Specialist), within Operational Enablement & Effectiveness (OEE) is responsible for identifying required data from source systems, aggregating, and presenting the data in a user-friendly manner using the appropriate tools.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partners within OEE to understand the needs of the business and identify the appropriate solutions

  • Adhere to OEE’s development guidelines and processes (software development lifecycle methodologies)

  • Partners within OEE team to design and develop (inc. User Acceptance Testing) the best approach to acquire and aggregate data to ensure optimal performance

  • Provide data and reports using various tools on an as needed basis

Collaborate with OEE team members and IT to resolve dashboard/report issues that may arise.

Education Minimum Requirement:


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Good communication (written and oral) skills

  • Familiar with analytical software tools (Spotfire, Qlik, Tableau, JMP)

  • Experience with Database concepts (ie Sql, MySql, Oracle, SAS, Sybase, DB2)

  • Strong organizational, delivering quality, and time management

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Developing analytical skills (data interpretation and assessing impact on processes)

  • Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, FDA)

  • Experience with development lifecycle methodologies

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to learn about new trends in technologies and adopt when appropriate

  • Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity along with competing priorities.

  • Good understanding of how to use CTMS, and analytic tools, as well as modelling and planning tools

  • MS Office 2010 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project and Access)

  • Knowledge of software development processes & methodologies (inc. SDLC, Agile, Waterfall)
