Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Domain Governance to lead and scale our company’s global domain governance and rationalization strategy across digital properties. This role is critical in ensuring a secure, compliant, and optimized domain ecosystem, enabling improved user experience, SEO performance, cost efficiency, and digital scalability. Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the enterprise domain governance framework, including policies, standards, and lifecycle management.
  • Support domain consolidation and rationalization initiatives, reducing fragmentation and improving scalability.
  • Ensure consistent domain naming, ownership, and alignment with enterprise digital strategy.
  • Oversee end-to-end domain lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain centralized visibility into domain inventory, ownership, and usage across markets.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure accurate domain classification.
  • Ensure domain portfolio complies with our company security, privacy, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure domain governance accounts for healthcare/pharma regulatory requirements, audience segmentation, gated versus public content, market-level rules, and privacy obligations.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance reporting for domain-related controls.
  • Define domain governance KPIs such as domain reduction, exception rate, migration success, redirect error rate, crawl health, SEO/GEO visibility, governance SLA, and compliance remediation status.
  • Create dashboards, scorecards, and governance reports for leadership, product teams, and market stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve domain standards based on search performance, AI discoverability insights, regulatory changes, platform evolution, and market feedback.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital governance, web operations, IT governance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of domain management, DNS, hosting, and web platform ecosystems.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to manage complex portfolios and governance frameworks at scale.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to balance governance with business agility.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven mindset.
  • Proactive, ownership-oriented, and solution-focused.

Preferred

  • Experience in domain optimization or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of SEO implications of domain strategy and migrations.
  • Experience with enterprise web platforms (e.g., WordPress VIP, AEM).
  • Experience working with Security, Privacy, and Legal teams.
