Field Reimbursement Manager

The Field Reimbursement Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of field reimbursement strategies and tactics to facilitate patient access to the MISHA Knee System. You will assist in mitigating reimbursement barriers for providers, and for optimizing market access. You will be the collaborative bridge between field Sales Team and strategic decision makers working closely with clinicians, administrators, and our sales and marketing teams

Responsibilities

  • Works in tandem with Regional Managers, Territory Managers, and Sales Team members to appropriately educate HCPs and other relevant stakeholders on the reimbursement program for the MISHA Knee System
  • Ensures that patient and HCP interaction with myMISHA is customer centric and provides a favorable user experience
  • Partners with Regional Managers, Territory Managers, and Sales Team members to identify and win support from key decision makers to accelerate facility approval of the product
  • Works with Marketing team and Sales leadership to develop business case support for MISHA Knee System
  • Provides support to commercial team to expedite Value Analysis Committee (VAC) approvals
  • Work strategically with KOL thought leaders to approach payors for coverage and successfully obtain access to care for covered lives regionally and nationally
  • Work with Sales Team to educate providers and their staff on coverage policies to streamline identification and documentation process
  • Work collaboratively with field sales personnel to teach and educate providers and facilities on program development, billing, coding, and reimbursement, contracting and payor approach
  • Contribute to Regional Manager and Territory Manager goals and objectives regarding prior authorizations, and other patient access objectives
  • Work cross functionally developing internal and external customer facing collateral, presentations, and webinars to streamline MISHA adoption
  • Lead customer facing webinars to provide education on relevant market access activities and education
  • Works cross functionally with Medical Education while onboarding new Territory Managers, and other field personnel
  • Work with our reimbursement partner to manage and optimize the authorization and appeal processes to assist patients in gaining access to treatment
  • Assist in executing corporate strategies and tactics to reduce patient-level barriers to treatment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, or equivalent combination of experience/education.
  • 5+ years of medical device reimbursement, market access and/or health economics experience.
  • Understands medical reimbursement (billing, coding, coverage, and payment) in the healthcare system & experience with unlisted codes (e.g., 27599), and new technology codes (e.g., “C” codes)
  • Understands typical VAC processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with US private payors and Medicare coverage and payment.
  • High level of interpersonal skills: influencing, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and educator.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentations skills with the ability to present, persuade physicians, physician offices, hospital administrators and key opinion leaders with respect to the Company’s reimbursement strategies.
  • Previous experience working closely and collaboratively with field sales teams.
  • Comfortable working virtually, with flexible workplace arrangements and business virtual technologies.
  • The ability to manage complex problems and projects while exercising independent decision-making and analytical thinking skills, with minimal supervision.
  • This position is field based. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proximity to major airport a plus.
