The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for an EHS Associate II to join our Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of EHS, the EHS Associate II will support various initiatives critical to maintaining and improving EHS programs across ElevateBio’s biomanufacturing and research facilities.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Support EHS Operations:
    • Assist with ISO 45001 and 14001 audits, including documentation preparation and follow-up actions.
    • Maintain accurate EHS records for audits, incident management, and compliance purposes.
    • Participate in risk identification and reduction activities.
    • Support GMP and non-GMP processes, biosafety, chemical safety, and emergency response.
  • Contribute to Safety and Compliance:
    • Help prepare and participate in safety committee meetings, safety inspections, and GEMBA walks.
    • Support compliance initiatives such as permit renewals and monitoring regulatory changes.
    • Assist with policy reviews and the development of EHS programs.
    • Training new staff on safety practices at the site.
  • Engage in EHS Initiatives:
    • Track and analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist with planning EHS events.
    • Support waste management processes and sustainability efforts.
  • Leverage Technology:
    • Review and update EHS content on ElevateBio’s intranet to improve accessibility and accuracy of resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of EHS related experience.
  • EHS related experience in manufacturing and R&D environments is required.
  • Experience in developing and implementing EHS policies, conducting incident investigations, and interacting with regulatory agencies
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
