The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for a summer intern to provide support for the startup of Quality Systems, Training Programs and Quality Control Labs at the newly constructed BaseCamp facility in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, the intern will be expected to author workflows, develop organizational tools, and support quality deliverables. In addition, the role will include identifying and driving process improvements in the quality department. The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments, rotate between quality units, and present all deliverables to a cross-functional team. Communication responsibilities for this role include scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, and communicating with project teams.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Organize document control workflows
  • Assist in the setup and organization of the newly constructed Quality Control labs
  • Create metric trackers for site readiness
  • Collaborate with multiple teams
  • Learn the basics of cell/gene therapy and industry regulations
  • Develop project management skills and participate in team meetings
  • Create presentations to communicate progress and project findings

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry, life sciences, or similar field
  • Knowledge of quality principles
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Understanding of pharmaceuticals or another regulated industry preferred

The budgeted range for this position is $25.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected hourly range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
